Atascadero Open Kitchen

Full Service Design 

The kitchen was large, open, and somehow impossible to actually use. The original one-in-one-out layout meant getting to the refrigerator required a full lap around the room. Bonkers, right? For a kitchen that opened onto a stunning property, it was spending an awful lot of energy working against itself.

We removed both peninsulas and replaced them with a single oak island that opens the whole space up and lets the view do what it was always supposed to do. The kitchen finally connects to the home around it, and two people can cook in it at the same time without getting tangled in the mess.
